I am a student currently working towards attaining a bachelor degree in game design at SAE Institute in Brisbane. I have taken it upon myself to specialize in games programming to further enhance my all round attributes. I aim to use my certification in conjunction with my creative flair to work on innovative new games within a team determined to take over the world. I am also interested in creating new learning techniques using games to help the children of the digital age. I am more inclined to work within small creative teams with shared roles as I possess a variety of skills useful to game development. However I do see the benefits of working for a large company as well and this would also be an avenue that I may pursue.
I have chosen to engage a profession in video games as they hold a treasured place in my heart. I have been riding the amazing roller-coaster of video games from the early nineties to last night! The evolution of games from pixel-elated art with tooty tunes to the modern day technologies has given me great excitement and encouragement to be part of this fascinating art form.

Some stand out games that I have enjoyed but not limited to:

The Myst Series-
This games art and alluring themes were such a state changer for me. These games had me so immersed in the fictional world even without the use of live action. Puzzles are always a winner for me.

The FarCry series-
I always dreamed of the day that I could freely roam in a first person shooter. Making a player feel that they call the shots is an art I wish to master. This technique reminds me of the skills used in card tricks; you feel that you are choosing a card, but are you?

Harvest Moon-
Certainly not the most popular game on the Super Nintendo but for me this was a game that you could easily lose track of time and feel as if you were living a second life. I liked the way the permanent choices in this game gave the player a sense of connectivity to the life of the character.

The Battlefield Series-
These games were my first taste of online multiplayer and it just blew me away. Not just the fact that battlefield games are awesome but the online element was just incredible. Enemies that are not predictable and the quirky things that can only happen online are what make this experience so special for me.

Heart of Darkness-
The blend of 2D platformer and 3D cut scenes are what made this game one of the most engaging play throughs that I have had. The dark themes presented in a childlike nightmare were creative and effective. The puzzles were challenging but easy enough not to break the flow of the game. A well directed gaming experience.

This list could go on for a while but I will leave it there for now.
Other interests of mine are:

As mentioned earlier, I play guitar and also some other instruments such as drums and didgeridoo. I aim to utilize these skills by incorporating them into my projects that I will be working on throughout my study. I play an array of different genres of music ranging from harmonious acoustic to riff monger heavy electric.

I also actively engage in an alternative skating style called Freebording. This essentially is like snowboarding on concrete. Lots of fun?

Buddhism is close to my heart and I try to incorporate positive energy into my day to day living.
